Markland House Tours

12/28/13: Markland House Tours from 10AM to 2PM. Flagler's Legacy Historic Tours will host a holiday tour of Flagler College's Markland House, 102 King Street, St. Augustine, FL. Visitors will glimpse some of the original grandeur of this historic home as well as learn some background on the residence and its importance in St. Augustine's rich history. Admission is $12. Guests will receive complimentary magical viewing glasses, handcrafted by Santa’s elves exclusively for our guests. New Years Eve Fireworks

Kick off 2014 with local food vendors, ice sculptures and fireworks at the St. Johns County Fishing Pier and Pavilion, 350 A1A Beach Blvd, St. Augustine Beach. Lightner Museum "Gilded St. Augustine" exhibit

12/6/13: "Gilded Saint Augustine Fine Art from the Age of Henry M. Flagler" in the Lightner Museum, 75 King Street. The exhibit will be up for two months. Featured are several dozen paintings and prints from the days when developer and entrepreneur Henry Flagler provided studios and exhibit space at his Ponce de Leon and Alcazar hotels. Artists include Martin Johnson Heade, Laura Woodward, Frank Henry Shapleigh, George W. Seavey, Herman Ottomar Herzog and Louis Comfort Tiffany. Soldiers at Castillo De San Marco 11/23/13

11/23/13:The National Park Service will host an evening that will bring the time line of the Castillo De San Marco's history to life. The living history event, "Soldiers through Time" features staff and volunteers portraying soldiers from the Castillo's 341 year history. Tours begin at 6:45, 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45 and 8PM. Christmas in old St. Augustine December 21st 2013

This annual heritage event features the Christmas music and customs of 16th century St. Augustine, the nation's oldest city. This holiday celebration takes place from 6-9PM at Mission Nombre de Dios, where the Great Cross stands, off San Marco Ave in uptown St. Augustine. The Great Cross marks the spot where Pedro Menendez de Aviles landed on August 28, 1565. The first Catholic Mass was celebrated there that morning. This is the oldest parish in the United States. Blues Festival in St. Augustine, Fl

St Johns River Blues Festival

The St. Johns River Blues Festival is on Saturday, 11/16 and Sunday, 11/17. Fourteen local blues bands are competing.
Also headliners Franc Robert & Boxcar Tourists will play Saturday at 6:00pm and Southern Hospitality at 8:00 pm. Sunday evening features Willie Green performing at 6:00pm. There will be food and arts and craft vendors. This is a festival for the whole family. Lawn chairs are welcome. Proceeds from the festival provide scholarships to deserving arts students.
WHAT: St Johns River Blues Festival, 14 regional blues bands competing with featured headliners on Saturday and Sunday nights.
